Smart Stadium

The Smart Stadium Initiative is a collaborative project between Dublin City University, Arizona State University, Croke Park Stadium (Dublin), Sun Devil Stadium (Phoenix) and Intel (U.S. and Europe).

The initiative used ASU's Sun Devil Stadium renovation project and Ireland's Croke Park Stadium as the venues for deploying pilot internet of things (IoT) technologies and demonstrating their capabilities.

Person detection and tracking, either within a single camera view or throughout a camera network, is mature technology that is already integrated into many commercial camera offerings. A truly intelligent surveillance system not only detects the presence of persons, but more importantly categorizes their behavior.
